Leeroy Stagger Shares Video for THESE DAYS Ahead of Upcoming Tour Dates

WATCH/SHARE VIDEO HERE

Victoria-based alt-country musician Leeroy Stagger shares the acoustic video for 'These Days', the latest single from his new album 3 AM Revelations out now on all digital streaming platforms via Tonic Records. Watch video here.

'These Days' is the third single to be released from 3AM Revelations, following the release of 'Count To Ten' and 'Watermelon Pink'. The song is a personal one for Leeroy, as he wrote it about his sobriety and the ongoing journey of recovery.

"This is one of the main anchors of this record to me," says Leeroy. "It’s a recovery song based on a period of time that I would awake suddenly around 3:38 exactly every other morning. I didn’t mind it too much, but it gets hard when there are kids to get off to school every morning. I would google what it means to wake up at 3:38 every morning and the internet would spew off something about that being the devil's hour or something foolish. The same thing would come up about 2:30 and 4:35 am, etc. My mind would be very active at this time, hence the speaking in tongues line. The song is a reminder to myself to find the humanity in my interactions. To meet my fears with more love. It’s a reminder that my disease is always there doing push ups, waiting for me to slip up, and that I have to work very hard to transcend that world that lives inside of me."

Leeroy Stagger's new album 3 AM Revelations is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. Look for Leeroy on the road this month starting in Red Deer, AB on February 14th. More tour dates in Ontario and Quebec will be announced soon. For more information, please visit leeroystagger.com.

PRAISE FOR 3AM REVELATIONS:

"For long-time fans of Leeroy Stagger, 3 AM Revelations will feel like catching up with an old friend. For newcomers, it’s an excellent introduction to an artist who’s been quietly but consistently producing some of Canada’s finest alt-country for the better part of two decades." - B-Side Guys

"3 AM Revelations makes grand statements about life, agony, loss, and redemption. Stagger weaves all these qualities together into a tortured tapestry. To say it arrives as one of the year’s best albums is an understatement. You just have to experience it for yourself." - B-Sides & Badlands

"Leeroy Stagger’s new album is a triumph. It sticks to familiar country rock themes while elevating them with a personal touch and plenty of instrumental variation. There are moments of swagger tempered by moments of self-doubt that seem to reflect the whole range of human experience." - York Calling

BC Folk Group The Southern Residents Share New Single DEVYN GALE

1st SINGLE FROM DEBUT ALBUM
FOLK SIGNALS OUT ON FEBRUARY 28th

STREAM/SHARE
HERE

BC folk group The Southern Residents share their new bluegrass-tinged single 'Devyn Gale' out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.

'Devyn Gale' is the lead single from The Southern Resident's debut album Folk Signals, set for release on February 28th. The album was born from the collaboration of Tom Taylor and Adrian Dolan, two seasoned figures in the Canadian music scene. When Tom set out to record his original folk-inspired songs, he needed musicians who could bring his vision to life. Adrian, a multi-instrumentalist and experienced producer, was the ideal partner. Together, they assembled a group of Canada’s finest musicians, each contributing their unique sound to the project.

With Tom Taylor on acoustic guitar and vocals and Adrian Dolan playing the fiddle and mandolin, the lineup also includes Scott White on bass from Vancouver Island’s renowned The Bills; Jeanne Tolmie of The Luckies, adding rich vocal harmonies; and Shanti Bremer from The Sweet Lowdown, whose banjo adds a traditional bluegrass touch. Victoria’s Daniel Lapp, an acclaimed fiddler and multi-instrumentalist, brings his talents to the twin fiddle tunes, while David Hughes of She Stole My Beer and The Radio Grande plays the Dobro.

With so many BC musicians involved in The Southern Residents project, it comes as no surprise that Folk Signals is an album with a focus on British Columbia based songs that cover topics from across the province. The first single 'Devyn Gale' addresses the risk that comes with the increasing frequency of wildfires in BC due to climate change.

"'Devyn Gale' is about a Wildland Firefighter who died fighting a fire outside Revelstoke in July 2023," says Tom Taylor. "I was heartbroken after reading the story on CBC and thought Devyn needed a folk song to celebrate her, and to mark the sacrifice that she, and other brave men and women have made to protect Canadian communities in what is an increasingly dangerous environment for forest fires."

'Devyn Gale' is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide.

San Diego Rock Collective Chest Fever / Mrs. Henry Kick-Off North American Tour in Canada

WATCH/SHARE CHEST FEVER
LIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO
HERE

Chest Fever, the Official Revival of The Band, and alter ego of San Diego rock band Mrs. Henry, are kicking off their North American tour with a string of tour dates in British Columbia starting on February 1st in Roberts Creek and ending on February 7th in Vancouver at The Rickshaw. The group will then head back down south for their U.S. tour dates, returning to Canada at the end of March to finish the tour in Ontario and Quebec. And since they'll already be there, Mrs. Henry will be the opening act for the tour dates to support their new album Keep On Rising  - A 21st Century Rock Opera (available now via Blind Owl Records). See below for the full tour listing.

2025 marks Chest Fever’s 3rd year on the road touring North America and second tour with Mrs. Henry supporting and performing an opening set of original music. This is their 2nd time returning to most of the Canadian markets, but will be their first time in Victoria and Montreal.

“The group absolutely loves touring in Canada, and we’ve felt such a warm embrace for both our original music and our celebration of The Band’s timeless catalog," says guitarist Daniel Cervantes. "Every tour we do is unique and tailored to that journey, and fans can expect a show unlike any we’ve done before. As high energy and as high level as you can get!”

The stories, legend and community of The Band live on through the passion and magic of Chest Fever, newly embodied in the live performance and burning energy they bring to every stage. Officially approved by Robbie Robertson and The Band Official, the group began hitting the road and playing venues in North America in 2022. From their hometown of San Diego to North Ontario, Chest Fever has performed in almost every state and province across the US and Canada with many highlights including a sold out show presented at Toronto’s revered Massey Hall on November 18th, 2023 - Celebrating the 45th Anniversary release of The Last Waltz. The same year saw Chest Fever releasing two albums that reimagined both Music From Big Pink and Rock of Ages, receiving critical acclaim and showcasing how the group honours the music of The Band while remaining true to their own original vision.

Chest Fever is comprised of members of the San Diego Music Award winning rock band Mrs. Henry, including keyboardist Jody Bagley, guitarist Daniel Cervantes, bassist Blake Dean, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Pinnola. Like The Band, Mrs. Henry is blessed with three lead signature vocalists coalescing into a profound harmonic blend. With authenticity as their compass, Mrs. Henry's musical bond mirrors a magical brotherhood revealed in spirited harmonies, psychoactive jams, and uplifting anthems that elevate the band and their ever-expanding audience into the sonic stratosphere.

In the summer of 2024, Mrs. Henry announced their 38 song epic rock opera Keep On Rising, the story of 'Your Twenty-First Century Rising Star,' a rocker who is reaching for the top and will stop at nothing to slake his appetite for rock n roll glory. They also recently released 'The Underworld Suite', a striking visual experience of mesmerizing graphics and mystical images, paired with the first seven tracks of Act II of Keep On Rising: Faith, Fate, and Hope in The Land of Nothing Matters.

Look for Chest Fever and Mrs. Henry on tour across Canada and the U.S. in February and March. For more information, please visit mrshenry.com.

Vancouver Fusion-Pop Artist Cinnamon Sandhu Shares New Single I'LL BE ALRIGHT

STREAM/SHARE HERE

Vancouver fusion-pop artist Cinnamon Sandhu shares her new single 'I'll Be Alright' out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.

2024 has been a busy year for Cinnamon creative-wise. 'I'll Be Alright' is the 4th single she's released this year, following her previous singles 'Materialistic Rani' (April 2024), 'Diamond' (July 2024) and 'Genie' (September 2024). She chose to end out the year with 'I'll Be Alright' because its universal theme of self-empowerment and healing is perfect for moments of new beginnings, like the New Year, when people focus on healing and fresh starts.

'"I’ll Be Alright' is me telling myself that I’ve got this—it’s like a self-affirmation in the form of a song," says Cinnamon. "It’s about reminding myself that no matter how hard things get, I have the strength to heal, grow, and come out stronger on the other side."

An emerging South Asian artist from Vancouver, BC, Cinnamon calls her genre fusion-pop because it’s a mix of Western and Indian pop music. Her music career began nine years ago, when she began singing covers of Punjabi and English songs on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Since then, she's gained 180K followers, 2M likes on TikTok, and 3.5M views on YouTube.

But despite this early success, according to Cinnamon, it wasn't until years later that her career fully took off: "I consider 2021 the year my career officially launched as it’s when I released my first single and booked my first paid show at 5X Fest, a well-known South Asian Festival in BC. In 2022, I independently released four singles and one self-funded music video, with my music video reaching over 10K organic views on YouTube."

In 2023, Cinnamon released her debut EP Love Story and strategically timed its release to coincide with her trip to India, allowing her to market it to a wider audience and generate content tailored to the EP. Also that year, she booked 3 festival performances marking a milestone in her career. One of those festivals was the Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts at the Punjabi Market Live event in Vancouver, where she had the honour of performing in the time slot immediately preceding the two headlining acts.

'I'll Be Alright' is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. For more information, please visit cinnamonsandhu.com.

Yellowknife Musician Carmen Braden Shares New Album A HARD LIGHT

STREAM/SHARE NEW
SINGLE 'THE DANCE'
HERE

Carmen Braden · The Dance

Award-winning singer-songwriter and contemporary composer Carmen Braden shares her new album, A Hard Light, out now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here. Carmen is also featuring 'The Dance' as the fourth single from the album, following previous singles 'Voice In The Dark', 'An Invite' and 'Really Pretty'.

With her latest single, 'The Dance,' the Yellowknife-based musician gives us a soul-soothing roots blues track that feels like a fresh breath of air from a bygone era. With its laid-back acoustic strumming and emotive yet abrasive delivery, the song evokes a nostalgic, almost cinematic vibe that would fit right in with the folk-rock gems of the 90s. The song was birthed during the isolating days of the pandemic, when Carmen, like many of us, found herself navigating moments of personal frustration.

"I wrote the core idea for 'The Dance' during the COVID lockdown," says Carmen. "One day I had a shift in attitude about something that was frustrating me, it might have been something with my really young kids, a relationship, the state of the world - I can’t even remember now exactly what! I decided instead of being frustrated and upset with it - ok, mostly with myself - I would treat it like a chance to play, to invite this frustrating thing closer and see what happens."

Carmen's new album, A Hard Light, is the latest collaboration with her longtime producer and friend Mark Adam. Two years in the making, it's a full, groove-based, up-front album diving into 9 beautifully sonic-crafted omnivorous songs. The album grew out of her 2021 Seed Songs album and songwriting process, evolving beyond into fuller creations. A couple of the tracks are “grown-up” versions of the little seeds. Like 'The Dance' which grew into a deeper, fuller track with a grittier groove; or the song 'The Weather', which was originally a 1-minute stripped-down version called 'Grief Wine Whiskey' and is now much more expansive. Other tracks, like the first single 'Voice in the Dark', were songs that Carmen waited years to bring to fruition in the studio.

Says Carmen: "I love the strength of the rhythms and textures of this album, and the courage that I’ve gained through making this album with Mark. When I listen, I can hear that courage, and the trust between us in the spaces between sounds, in the mistakes that we kept in that somehow fit perfectly, and in the balance of simplicity and depth."

A Hard Light is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. For more information, please visit carmenbraden.com.
