Vancouver Artist Ché Aimee Dorval Shares New Single FEEL SOMETHING

Watch/Share Live Video HERE

Vancouver artist Ché Aimee Dorval confronts the quiet pull of emotional disconnection on her new single, “Feel Something,” available now on all digital streaming platforms via Fools Game Records. Dreamy, ethereal, and propelled by shimmering electronic production, the song explores the tension between isolation and engagement, and the complicated comfort that can come from shutting the world out.

The third single from her forthcoming EP, due out in September 2026, “Feel Something” follows the release of “Carnal Needs” and 2025’s “Joyride,” further revealing a collection of songs rooted in emotional honesty, atmosphere, and self-examination. While previous singles explored desire, instinct, and freedom, “Feel Something” shifts its focus to the grey area where comfort, avoidance, and dependency begin to blur together, creating a portrait of someone caught between self-preservation and genuine connection.

“‘Feel Something’ was written about the way isolation and emotional numbness can slowly start disguising themselves as comfort or safety,” says Dorval. “It’s about shutting the world out, sleeping too much, dissociating, avoiding difficult feelings, and staying hidden away long enough that it starts to feel easier than actually engaging with life.

It can be both protective and destructive at the same time, constantly pulling things further inward, dimming the light a little more, keeping someone small, disconnected, and comfortably stuck. A lot of the song came from exploring that strange place where avoidance, depression, comfort, and dependency all start bleeding into each other.”

Sonically, “Feel Something” balances weighty subject matter with an uplifting sense of movement. Layers of breezy vocals glide over driving electronic production, creating a tension between melancholy and momentum that mirrors the song’s central themes. The result is a track that feels equally suited for solitary late-night reflection and cathartic release on the dance floor.

Co-produced by Dorval and Matt Harvey, “Feel Something” features performances by Diego Tejeida on synthesizers, Paul Rigby on guitar, and Flavio Cirillo on drums. Together, they help bring the song’s immersive soundscape to life, blending organic and electronic elements into a richly textured listening experience.

Like its predecessors, “Feel Something” showcases Dorval’s continued growth as a songwriter, producer, and sonic architect. Drawing inspiration from artists such as BANKS, London Grammar, Portishead, and Florence Welch, she continues to carve out a distinct artistic identity built on mood, vulnerability, and emotional depth.

To celebrate the release, Dorval will premiere a live performance video for “Feel Something” on her YouTube channel on June 10. Filmed during her May 23 performance at Franklin Commons Studio in Vancouver, the video was directed by Laura Harvey and shot by Lindsay Blane, capturing the song’s emotional intensity in an intimate live setting.

With “Feel Something,” Dorval offers another compelling glimpse into her forthcoming EP, continuing a creative chapter defined by atmospheric production, emotional transparency, and a willingness to explore the complexities of the human experience.

“Feel Something” is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. For more information, please visit cheaimeedorval.com.
