Marie on October 6th at The New American. See below for full tour listings.

Energetic. Funky. Progressive. Vintage. Rock n’ Roll. These are a just few elements that have been forged together to create a unique yet very familiar sound—one that is cleverly harnessed by Moon Tan. Born of three separate imaginations - Adrian Dyer on bass and lead vocals, Brady Mitchell on guitar, and Nick Knock on drums - they began rehearsing together when the latter two were only fifteen years old and knew right away they wanted to create something unique and riveting. Drawing on a wide range of musical influences, Moon Tan's ability to blend genre, technique and style transformed them into a well-oiled, complex, music-making machine.

Captivating both musicians and music lovers alike, Moon Tan is known for providing their fans with an unforgettable show. The band never fails to turn heads with their dynamic live performances. Their unique stage attire immediately captivates the audience while the theatrical performance, driving rhythms, infectious melodies, and technical expertise leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more.

"We want the audience to feel total sensory overload when they come to our show," explains drummer Nick Knock. "We want them to see these three freaks up on stage giving their all in costumes they designed, playing music that came from the most depraved corners of their mind at volumes they can feel. And we want them to go home feeling like they just witnessed something out of the norm, unforgettable."

Moon Tan is determined to spread their mind-bending melodies and aggressive high-energy rhythms across the globe. Previous Canadian Tours were met with rave reviews and sold out shows - and their sights are now set on conquering Europe and the United States in 2017. With a self titled EP and a full length album under their belt, Moon Tan are building on the buzz with the release of their brand new 7" single, and if the rave reviews from past live performances are any measure - the sky's the limit for this Winnipeg power trio!

Be sure to check out Moon Tan's amazing live show for yourself! Look for the band on tour across Canada starting on October 6th in Sault Ste. Marie. Moon Tan's new 7" single The Faceless Knight is out today and can be purchased digitally via Bandcamp. The Faceless Knight limited edition vinyl and CD will be available at all upcoming Moon Tan shows. Winnipeg Singer-Songwriter Raine Hamilton Announces Canadian Tour Dates + Premieres New Live Video

Watch Premiere of 'Robin Hood' on Grayowl Point

Winnipeg, MB - Winnipeg acoustic folk singer-songwriter Raine Hamilton will be hitting the road this fall with a string of Eastern Canadian Tour Dates starting in Waterloo on October 15. See below for full tour listings. The upcoming tour is in support of Raine's debut album Past Your Past but she is also looking towards the future with the release of a new song entitled 'Robin Hood' which will be included on her sophomore album set for release in 2017. Check out the exclusive premiere of the 'Robin Hood' live performance video on Grayowl Point.

Raine Hamilton is part prairie songstress, part storyweaver; each song has a story, delivered between songs with humour and grace. Think Joni Mitchell meets Tina Fey. Raine invites her love of the violin into the singer-songwriter genre, writing for violin and voice, as well as for guitar and voice. Raine performs resonant, acoustic folk with an other-worldly edge, and a lyric presence that cuts deep. Prism-clear vocals and strings; a combination of vocal agility and power.

Raine Hamilton's well received debut album Past Your Past was released in 2015 and since its release she has been playing live at venues, festivals and homes all across Canada, gaining plenty of fans along the way. She is currently working on her second release with acclaimed Winnipeg producer Lloyd Peterson. The new album will include the track 'Robin Hood', a song that Raine's been performing live for a while now. The idea for 'Robin Hood' comes from Raine's past.

"The harmony and style of this song are influenced by my background as a medieval musicologist," explains Raine. "I have a masters' degree in medieval musicology from the University of Ottawa. I wrote a thesis that exists on the internet. Someone ordered a hard copy of it once, evidenced by a 12 cent royalty cheque that came in the mail one day. I love medieval music for its otherworldliness, for its harmonies and crunches, for its treatment of time and metre.”

Look for Raine Hamilton on tour in Ontario and Quebec this fall, starting in Waterloo on October 15th. Please visit rainehamilton.com for more information and the most up to date tour listings.

"Past Your Past is a carefully crafted folk album that is gracefully familiar, and like Joni Mitchell's Blue, you'll want to listen to it over and over...Please, sit on your porch with your eyes closed and listen to this gem." - Stylus Magazine

“I was stunned to hear something as clear and delicate as her voice ring out—commanding attention with its sensitive, open approach… with a rich musical history at play in her creation, there’s plenty of promise to be teased out of such a short entrance.” -  Gray Owl Point

The Statistics Release Brand New Single/Video + Hit The Road For Western Canadian Tour!

Watch Video Premiere of 'Old Habits'
@ Permanent Rain Press!

Vancouver, BC - Prince George alt-rock duo The Statistics are excited to announce the release of their brand new single 'Old Habits' with the premiere of the video on Permanent Rain Press. The Statistics will also be hitting the road in support of the new single and video, playing a string of Western Canadian Tour Dates starting in Vancouver on September 29th. See below for full tour listings.

The Statistics are Darby and Erin Yule, a pair of brothers from Prince George, BC, who play Alternative Rock. They released their debut EP Haunts in 2014 and the single 'Jealous Heart' in January of this year. Their new single 'Old Habits' and the previous single 'Jealous Heart' will both be included on a brand new EP set to be released in 2017. 'Old Habits' was recorded partly at Vertical Studios in Vancouver and partly in their own home, and the overall sound is a bit more alt-country than alt-rock.

"'Old Habits' is about two people who just can’t make the timing of their relationship work," explains frontman Darby Yule.  "We’ve been describing it as a song for the drives you take when you’ve got a lot your mind. It features the lovely Amy Kirkpatrick on guest vocals. We tried to include a California Sound/Country Rock vibe to the song which is new for the band. All the instruments were recorded by us and a large portion was done in our own home."

Although they are a relatively new band, The Statistics have already achieved considerable feats, including: being nominated for "Best Out of Province Act" at the 2106 Toronto Independent Music Awards, working with Cone McCaslin (Sum 41), playing Canadian Music Week and Crankworx in Whistler, and headlining the Kispiox Music Festival. The duo's upcoming tour is their 3rd time doing a Western Canadian Tour and they've been gaining more fans each time due to their incredible live show. The band is entertaining and hilarious, and The Statistics often generate more energy on stage than bands twice their size!

Look for The Statistics on tour this fall starting on September 29th in Vancouver. More dates will be announced soon, please visit thestatistics.org for more information and the most up to date tour listings.

Vancouver's Grey Saturn Releases First Single From Debut Album The Encounter

Watch Premiere of 'The Beatzeria' Video @ Winnie Cooper:

Vancouver, BC - Vancouver DJ/producer Grey Saturn is pleased to announce the release of 'The Beatzeria', the first single from his debut album The Encounter set to be released in early 2017. You can watch the premiere of the incredible animated video now at WinnieCooper.net. The release of the single comes just ahead of Grey Saturn's upcoming shows at New York, Paris and LA Fashion Weeks. See below for full show listings.

Grey Saturn is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, songwriter and musician based in Vancouver, BC. He produces a style of electronic music that is a mixture of electro house, synth wave, electro swing and trap and is heavily influenced by 80s pop and glam rock/metal. Grey Saturn coins this sound as "Electro 80s" and the first single 'The Beatzeria' is a track that plays into this sound.

"'The Beatzeria' is a nu-jazz/electro-swing track that incorporates my electronic 80s sound," explains Grey Saturn. "There is no rhyme or reason as to why it is the first release from the album, but it felt right to make the video more fun and animated since it is an electro-swing track."

Although The Encounter is Grey Saturn's debut album, he's been making music, playing shows and gaining fans for a few years now, and that hard work is starting to pay off. Grey Saturn recently received a nomination for a 2016 Western Canadian Music Award for "Electronic Artist of the Year" and it looks like that is just the beginning for this talented DJ/producer.

"I’m very happy with the outcome of this album as I have put a lot of time and effort into it," says Grey Saturn. "That being said, I want to keep the ball rolling and start working on new music right away in hopes of releasing a new EP or album by next spring!"

Look for Grey Saturn at his upcoming Fashion Week shows in NYC, Paris and LA. More dates will be announced soon, please visit greysaturn.com for more information and the most up to date tour listings.
