It's baaaaaaack! The first SCHMUSIC BC Networking Party of 2011 is happening tonight at The Biltmore Cabaret. If you've never been to a SCHMUSIC BC Party before you should totally come! It's a chance for local artists and industry to meet, mingle and build contacts in a relaxed setting. It's free for everyone, and you don't even have to be a Music BC member to attend. Also, the best part is there will be free beer courtesy of Steamwhistle Brewing for the first 100 people who arrive. Woot! The party runs tonight from 6-9 PM. Hope to see y'all there!
Brand New Foo Fighters Song!
The Foo Fighters highly anticipated new album "Wasting Light" will be released through Sony Music Canada on April 12, 2011. To get fans a bit fired up, The Foo's released a video for the song "White Limo" over a week ago, which features the band riding around town in a limo driven by Lemmy from Motorhead. The song proved to be very much on the heavier side of things for the band and had fans wondering if this was the direction The Foos were headed in for the new album. And then just this afternoon, The Foo's released "Rope" - the first single from "Wasting Light" - to Canadian radio. Upon first listen is definitely classic Foo Fighters and seems no heavier than usual. But what do you think? Giv'er a spin!
