MAJORS Drive Their Golf-Punk Vision Further On Self-Titled Debut Album

Listen HERE

Pop-punk outfit MAJORS officially arrive on the green with the release of their self-titled debut full-length, out now on all streaming platforms. With members based in Ottawa, ON, and Charleston, SC, the band blends the energy of early-2000s punk with tongue-in-cheek golf-themed storytelling, carving out a lane entirely their own while proving that punk rock can be loud, catchy, and completely unafraid to embrace the absurd.

Built around soaring hooks, driving guitars, and a deep love of the game, MAJORS pushes the band’s concept further than ever before. Across the album’s 13 tracks, the group explores everything from glorious rounds and disastrous swings to frustration, obsession, ego, and redemption, all through the lens of modern rock and pop-punk. Leading the release is focus track “She’s Gone,” a drum-heavy, straight-ahead pop-punk banger that captures the band at their most immediate and energetic.

“We really pushed our songwriting this year, exploring every corner of the genre to create a well-rounded modern rock record that spans the entire ‘MAJORS’ lyrical landscape — from the frustration of a ‘Hell Day’ on the course to seeking divine intervention for your swing,” says vocalist Justin Camarena. “Since our songs are so literal, we’re treating social media as an extension of the art, using visuals to bring the specific stories in our heads directly to our fans. Golfers will absolutely get it, and even for folks who don’t golf, the music alone should be enough to get heads bouncing… maybe even inspire a trip to the driving range.”

The album arrives following a busy year for the band, which saw the release of 2025 singles “Etiquette,” “Thinkin’bout,” “G.H.T.O.,” and “Propagolfi,” along with a run of live dates across Ontario and Quebec. Last month, MAJORS returned with “Bullet on a String” as the final preview of the full-length. Together, the tracks showcase the band’s ability to balance humour and sincerity while delivering explosive riffs, massive choruses, and an unmistakable sense of personality.

Mixed and mastered by Dean Hadjichristou (Parkway Drive, Four Year Strong, Protest the Hero), the album also features contributions from notable names in Canadian rock, including Protest the Heroguitarist Ben Davis, who appears on “Hell Day,” and We Were Sharks vocalist Randy Frobel, featured on “Propagolfi.”

Originally formed as a passion project between veteran punk musicians and lifelong golf obsessives, MAJORS quickly evolved from a novelty concept into a fully realized band with a rapidly growing international audience. Their 2024 debut EP, Songs in the Key of Golf, introduced listeners to the group’s unique identity and gained traction across Canada, the United States, and Latin America.

The lineup features Justin Camarena (vocals) and Rich “Bricks” Latour (drums), both formerly of The Fully Down, whose years of touring included appearances on the Vans Warped Tour and extensive runs across Canada, the United States, and Japan. They are joined by Jason Mooney of We Were Sharks and Nathan Pearce of TRVLR, bringing together decades of combined experience from some of Canada’s hardest working punk and alternative acts.

MAJORS recently celebrated the album release with a packed-house hometown show alongside Strung Out and Belvedere at Ottawa’s Overflow Brewing Co., and will announce more live dates soon.

MAJORS is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. For more info, please visit majorsband.com.
